Recently, the Ministry of Science and Technology published the 2008 National Engineering Research Center List. The "National Energy-Saving and Environmental Protection Refrigeration Equipment Engineering Research Center" is now officially to be settled in Guangzhou. This is the first and the only national engineering research center in the refrigeration sector in China.
The establishment of the Center not only broke new ground for national engineering research centers in the refrigeration, home appliances and conditioning sectors and filled-in the blank, but also symbolized that the proprietors of Gree Air Conditioning have become an R&D and engineering center of the energy-saving and environmental protection refrigeration equipment in China.
