A ceremony for the inauguration of the operation of the National Digital Home Industrial Base was held at the Guangzhou Higher Education Mega Center on the morning of March 25th. The base is a cooperative project between the Ministry of Industry and Information and the Guangdong Provincial Government. The project aims at an optimization of sources, application of technologies in industries, technical breakthroughs in key fields and an industrial upgrading. It will serve 15 million households in Guangdong Province as well as other users in China or even in Southeast Asia.
The base is composed of three sections focusing on research and development, manufacturing and commerce. So far, five technical support centers as well as 71 businesses have been introduced into the research and development section.
