Nanning Travel Tips

Nanning is a popular stopover en-route to Vietnam. Visas can be obtained from the Vietnamese Consulate (Add: Investment Building, 09 Minzu Dadao, Nanning; Tel: 0771- 551 0562) which takes 14 working days. A same-day express service is possible on production of RMB 600. Obtaining a Vietnamese visa in Nanning is not easy though: if at all possible, visitors should obtain their visa from Beijing or Guangdong.Visitors planning on re-entering China after visiting Vietnam must ensure before leaving that their visa allows them to do so.
It is likely to rain at least once a day in Nanning, so visitors are advised to carry light waterproofs or an umbrella.
