Nanjing to Deploy 12,000 Free Bikes near Metro Stations
Aug 17, 2010 By eChinacities.com

Nanjing Metro officials plan to have 12,000 free bikes deployed to service Metro Line 2 and its south extension line stations by September 3rd. Passengers will be able to use them free of charge. The first batch of 280 bikes will be stationed at the Xueze Rd Station on Metro Line 2. If the trials prove to be successful, then the metro company will set up bike lots at other metro stations. Bikes near Xueze Rd Station serve as an extra convenience for passengers commuting to nearby Xianlin Suguo store, Xianlin Office for Management of District Affairs, the Jinying Dacheng shop, Senlin Police School, and University of Finance & Economics.
