Raining outside and you forgot to bring an umbrella? Not to worry: starting August 17, every subway station in Nanjing will offer raincoat and umbrella rentals. The new raincoats are bright yellow, long-sleeved, and have the phrase “人文地铁" printed on the back. To rent this rainwear, head to the ticket booth at one of the city’s subway stations, show valid ID and pay a 20 RMB deposit, after which you’ll be given a raincoat or umbrella. To receive the 20 RMB deposit back, return your rented rainwear within the next seven days.
