Nanjing Plans to Open 6 New Metro Lines in 5 Years

According to the Nanjing Metro Corporation, six new metro lines scheduled to open in Nanjing within the next five years. Currently, Nanjing only has three metro lines: Subway Line 1, the south extension of Subway Line 1 and Subway Line 2. The total track mileage reaches over 85 km, making it the fourth longest in China. The six new lines to open are Phase I of Subway Line 3, Subway Line 10, Airport Line, Phase I of Subway Line 11, Phase I of Subway Line 4 and Subway Line 12. The projected total mileage will be about 300 km.
