Jennifer’s Café in Xi’an will be screening the 2003 Oscar winning film Lost in Translation on Feb.10 starring Bill Murray and Scarlett Johansson. Murray plays an American film actor far past his prime. He visits Tokyo to appear in commercials, and he meets Johansson, who plays the young wife of a visiting photographer. Bored and weary, the two characters make ideal if improbable traveling companions. Both separately and together, they live the experience of the American in Tokyo.
Jennifer’s Café screens movies usually on Wednesday and Sunday nights. Admission is free while drink purchasing might be required.
