After dinner on October 17, Miss Lin went out for a stroll in the Wanhe neighborhood of Fuyu County in Heilongjiang Province. All of a sudden, her path was barred by a strange man. Dragging her by the arm, the man said, "Aliens have arrived to destroy Earth. Quickly take me away from this planet!"

Miss Lin quickly determined the man was crazy. But while she tried to take no notice of the man, Lin noticed that he was shaking all over, his words were discombobulated and incoherent, and that he had a funny look in his eyes. Scared out of her wits, Miss Lin notified the police.

Officers from the Tiedong police sub-station were dispatched to the scene whereupon police suspected the man was under the influence of drugs. When questioned by the police, the man readily admitted to having taken many drugs. Though the man did not have a scent of alcohol on him, he was still brought back to the police sub-station. There, the man's urine sample tested positive for drug use.

Surnamed Lu, the man confessed during interrogation that he had been consuming heavy amounts of methamphetamine that afternoon, so much that he began to have hallucinations. Lu believed that aliens were coming to destroy the Earth so he ran out into the main street to have someone take him away off the planet.

Lu has been arrested and will be detained for five days.
