Shenzhen’s only water park, the Maya Water Park (欢乐谷玛雅水公园) in Shenzhen’s Happy Valley is slated to open to the public this summer. Visitors with Happy Valley tickets can enter and experience the cool water world for free.
The upgraded Maya Water Park still embraces the ancient and thrilling Mayan style, but also introduces many new, exciting amusement rides, such as Yusheshenhuang (羽蛇神环), the first Water Drop Zone in Asia; Caihongsaidao (彩虹赛道), a high-speed water based ride, Tiandifanfa (天地泛筏), the first family rafting ride in China; Taiyangmixuan (太阳迷漩), a whirlpool experience ride; Maya Shuizhai (玛雅水寨), the first interactive Mayan-themed water village in Asia; Wanshen Water Skating (万神滑板) etc. If this was not enough for the aquaphile visitor there is even an outdoor spa among the many other watery entertainment options in the park.
The new Maya Water Park is expected to become Happy Valley’s most popular feature this summer, and visitors will also be able to enjoy a special “water music party” every day and a grand water carnival every evening.
