Man in Hebei Province Seen Selling China Post Parcels on Street
Mar 02, 2015 By eChinacities.com

A man in Baizhou, Hebei Province, has been seen selling unclaimed international China Post parcels on the street.

Photos of the man selling sealed parcels to passersby for 10 RMB each, surfaced online this week.  It was a bit of gamble as customers could only open the parcel after they had already paid.

Most of the parcels were originally headed for international destinations from Beijing but were never claimed. If you’ve ever wondered what happened to the birthday gift you sent your aunt last year, now you know.

The Beijing Postal Administration has taken note and promises to thoroughly investigate the case.

Good work once again China. The land of dishonest, corrupt bums.

And this is exactly why I tell people not to send me things here in China... Post office employees selling international parcels (most likely expat stuff too) on the streets... and the shame spiral continues.

If it wasn't our "never received" parcels there we could laugh at it. Seriously the guy had no mercy, didn't even try to hide himself or repack the parcels. Kind of hilarious in a way. It remind me my childhood when we could by those surprise packs for a couple of dollars.

Oh my gosh. My brother sent me a parcel last year in November from South Africa and my boyfriend also sent me something from the UK and I still haven't received anyone of them. Is there an office I can contact in this regard?

South Africa had a post office strike that lasted for three months. Your parcel probably went missing before it even left.

S'true. But on the other hand, an overweight, sleepy, affirmative-actioned employee is very grateful for the biltong. Wena !

@puffudder and @yongge you are my top suspects how did you know about the biltong hahaha. You guys would flip if you knew the other things that are in my parcel. I actually went to the Shoprite and Checkers websites to make sure I didn't forget anything. Anyway on the bright side I got the tracking number it got to Guangzhou on Thursday last week. Yay!
