A young man in Jinjiang, Fujian Province had the police called on him when he got into an argument with his ex-girlfriend at a restaurant. After drinking heavily he ended up yelling at her and demanded that she pay him back for the two years of his youth that he wasted with her.

26-year-old Wang was initially happy when he discovered that his friend, Xie, had a new girlfriend and arranged to have dinner with them so he could meet her. When Xie arrived however, it turned out that the girl was in fact 23-year-old Wu- a girl that Wang had previously dated for over a year.

At first Wang didn’t say anything and he and Wu awkwardly smiled through Xie’s introductions. However, Wang then got very drunk and began talking to Wu directly about how he spent a lot of time and money on her and how upset he was when they broke up.

Sensing the awkwardness, Xie tried to leave with Wu, but Wang grabbed her hand and yelled “You cheated me out of so much money and you wasted almost two years of my life! You should compensate me; you should pay me a ‘lost-youth fee’!”

Xie and Wang then began pushing and fighting with each other and the restaurant staff called the police who sent them home.

According to the police, Wang called the couple up the next day to apologize and told them that he wished them happiness.
