Mainlanders Occupy Half of Forbes China Rich List

On April 15, Forbes announced that the richest Chinese person in the world is Li Ka-shing, with the Hong Kong tycoon topping the list for the 15th consecutive year with a net worth of 31 billion USD. Wealthy Mainlanders accounted for half of this list with a current total of 122 Mainland Chinese billionaires.

Despite the list seeing a sharp increase in the amount of Mainlanders, Zong Qinghou, owner of drinks firm Wahaha, was the only Mainlander to enter the list’s top ten, with a net worth of 11.6 billion USD.
