After a year of construction, Luchao Harbor's new wharf will be fundamentally completed and will be put into test operation starting February of 2009.
The major routes from Luchao Harbor are from Shanghai to Putuoshan and Shengsi. Visitors can take ships to Zhejiang. The new wharf takes up an area of 4,000 sqm. The first phase has 4 berths for express passenger ships and 1 ferry berth. It can hold twice as many as number of passengers.
