Low Levels of Radioactive Iodine Detected in Heilongjiang

On March 26th, China’s National Nuclear Emergency Coordination Committee announced that extremely low levels of radioactive iodine -131 from the stricken nuclear power plant in Japan have been detected in the air in northeast Heilongjiang. But experts have stressed that public health and the environment remain unaffected by radioactivity.
