Eight of China’s top streaming websites have caught the eye of the National Internet Information Office and have been ordered to pull several programs for ‘sensational or lewd content’.

Aiqiyi, ifeng, Ku6 and Sohu among others have all been targeted for posting lewd photos and videos to attract a larger audience.

The move is part of the Clean Web 2014 Initiative which saw many porn websites banned and TV shows such as Game of Thrones heavily censored.

I think it's hilarious with all the pridtitutes running around on the streets at all hours of the day and night. Why don't they do something about that?

What makes a dog more special than a pig?

A dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

Last year I was in northern XuZhou, in a county. The large Su Guo mall sold dog meat in those fancy boxes. And on my route to school, there was a man who sold fresh dog meat most days. In the morning, I'd see these dogs, maybe 3 or 4, no doubt strays rounded up from the night before, in a cage. On my way back at lunchtime, he'd either be selling the meat at the roadside, or still having them skinned. Most of the dogs were very skinny and caked with dried mud. From the apartment, I sometimes would hear a very loud yelp, then silence. One of the teachers who lived in the same apartment complex had lost her small dog, which I'm sure ended up on someone's plate.

Nothing if the pig is a pet. If your point is that it isn't acceptable to eat any living creature, then I get it. But throughout history pigs, cows and chickens have been raised for food. Not dogs, cats and monkeys, nor parrots, etc. Just because we sometimes make pets of animals that are more commonly raised for food, doesn't make domestic animals more acceptable in, at least in western mines. Most people don't eat their pets. Most of the dogs that are killed, are strays, pets that ran away or got lost. Not farm raised. Or maybe that's what free range means here.
