On May 28th, Kunming received a plaque from the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development recognizing it as a “Garden City” in China. This means that Kunming will have one more asset to help boost its competitiveness when bidding for the UN Habitat Scroll of Honor Award in 2012.
