Every day, there are a number of rude visitors throw fruit peels and plastic bags at the animals at the Kunming Zoo and officials want to put a stop to this once and for all. They've thus drawn up a draft ordinance that says those caught intimidating and hurting animals or throwing food at animals where it is unauthorized will face fines between 50 RMB – 500 RMB. The draft will be publicized to residents for discussion and possible revision before being enforced.
