According to Chinese news reports, a Japanese man followed a female coworker to the bathroom and was caught red-handed in a voyeuristic act. He was then taken to the local police station and sentenced to five days in jail.

It is reported that the incident occurred the night of August 2nd, on the 6th floor of the Huashenghui Commercial Building in Shenzhen’s Bao'an District. It was after work hours at the company, and a female worker surnamed Li wanted to use the bathroom before leaving the office. A Japanese manager with the same company followed her in, and was just about to engage in his voyeuristic act (with a pinhole lens camera in hand, it was reported) when Li had caught him just in time and called the police.

It is said that the company is a Japanese firm doing international trade in China and that the man arrested was just under 30 years of age. The CEO of the company proceeded to the police station later on and negotiated twice with the victim. It was later reported that both sides had agreed on a proper compensation for the female worker.
