Sonic Calligraphy, a jazz group comprised of members from China, Europe and the United States, will perform at Cape 3 in Qingdao on October 13. Featuring Chinese-American singer Peggy Chew, Swiss pianist Adrian Frey and percussionist Willy Kotoun, Shanghainese singer Coco Zhao and guqin virtuoso Wu Na, this group will perform a musical collaboration of words and music with the poetry of Hong-Kong poet Leung Ping-kwan. Sonic Calligraphy first gained attention in the Chinese music scene back in 2009, with their impressive repertoire that combined original compositions, jazz, folk songs and poetry.
