Increased Penalties in Fuzhou for Taxi Drivers Flouting Rules

On August 6, Fuzhou increased penalties for certain taxi violations. Taxi drivers who refuse to take customers or commit other illegal acts face a 1000 Yuan penalty. Meanwhile, drivers who do not use the taxi meter face a 5000 Yuan fine, confiscation of their service supervision card and a spot on a taxi blacklist. Taxis are also now forbidden to change shifts from 17:00-19:00. Passengers who encounter any of the above issues and violations can call the taxi complaint hotline: 059183313000.
