Hutong-style McDonald's Opens in Beijing on Dec. 30th
Dec 31, 2011 By eChinacities.com

A McDonald's branch will open on Jiugulou Dajie (旧鼓楼大街) in Beijing on December 30th. It will be the first McDonald's to be modeled after the "Old Beijing" aesthetic, not to mention it will be situated right across from the historical Bell and Drum Towers (钟鼓楼). McDonald's opened its first Beijing branch in 1992, and today there are more than 100 branches throughout the city. It's no surprise that China is McDonald's fastest growing overseas market.
