On November 21st, a morning fog covered Urumqi airport for nearly seven hours, causing hundreds of flight delays and cancellations, and stranding nearly 5,500 travellers. Winter is approaching, and Urumqi has been suffering from dense fog since November 16th. Airport personnel are warning upcoming travellers to pay close attention to the changes in weather before making travel plans.
