Heavy rain and thunderstorms are expected to hit Shenzhen from tomorrow until Sunday afternoon, the Shenzhen Meterological Observatory reported yesterday.
The observatory is reminding residents to remain alert and up to date on weather since flood season, which commenced mid-April.
The forecast has predicted torrential rain, thunderstorms and forceful gales in the next few days, staying strong through Friday and Saturday and eventually beginning to ease off on Sunday.
The center has also forecast that five to six typhoons will hit the city in the coming months, starting mid-July.
