Harbin's Central Avenue Approved as National 4A Scenic Spot

Harbin's Central Avenue (哈尔滨中央大街), which contains more than a century of history, was officially approved as a National 4A Scenic Sport several days ago. Central Avenue was constructed in 1898 – at nearly the same time that the city of Harbin was originally founded. In 1997, Central Avenue was renovated and officially became the country's first pedestrian street.
