Hangzhou Starts Using Coloured Bus Lanes

The first batch of coloured bus lanes in Hangzhou was put into use on Shaoxing Lu, Huancheng Dong Lu, Wen’er Lu, Wensan Lu and Huancheng Xi Lu on December 5th. Traffic police said that using coloured bus lanes are an important strategy to ease the traffic congestion during rush hours. Coloured bus lanes are reserved for the public buses around the clock, except the one on Huancheng Xi Lu, which is designated for buses from 07:00-08:30 and from 17:00-18:30.
