In 2011, Hangzhou's GDP was 701.18 billion Yuan, up 10.1 percent from the previous year, and per capita GPD exceeded 80,000 Yuan for the first time – nearly on par with that of rich countries. Now in its 21st consecutive year of double-digit growth, Hangzhou has grown faster than both the national and Zhejiang Province average. As China's most famous tourist city, Hangzhou last year received nearly 75 million domestic and foreign tourists, and its tourism revenue was nearly 120 billion Yuan.
