The Hangzhou-Nanjing high-speed railway recently began trial operations, and is currently expected to open to the public in early July. The railway runs north-south from Hangzhou East Railway Station to Nanjing South Railway Station. Once the line opens, one will be able to get from Hangzhou to Nanjing in only 50 minutes and from Hangzhou to Beijing in only 5 hours. Ticket prices are yet to be determined.
