Hainan’s First Skyscraper Looks Like Giant Male Genitalia

Given the latest spate of strangely-shaped buildings cropping up around the country, one really must wonder where these architects get their inspiration from (we’re guessing the inspiration for some of them came from some place very close to home).

The latest building to grab the attention of netizens is Hainan’s first skyscraper, the Haihang International Airlines Plaza. One look at a photo of the building and it’s obvious why this building’s design has come under debate: it looks very similar to male genitalia.

Reactions have been mixed on the web, with some calling it tasteless and garish. Others have been less judgmental though, claiming that the building’s exterior is merely an architectural style.

Towering at a height of 247.6 meters, it sure is quite a sight to behold.
