Hainan East Ring Intercity Rail Opens

The Hainan East Ring Intercity Rail, China’s southernmost coastal high-speed rail, opened to passengers on Dec 30th, 2010. The Hainan East Ring Intercity Rail starts at Haikou East Station and runs along the east coastal side of Hainan Island. It ends at Sanya Station, with a total length of over 300 kilometers. With the opening of this intercity rail, travelling time between Haikou and Sanya will be 90 minutes, reduced by 50% comparing travel time with the Highway.
