Guxumen Lantern Festival Coming to Suzhou

The 21st Guxumen Lantern Festival will be held at various locations throughout Suzhou from February 3-7th. Events will be simultaneously held at Guxumen Plaza (古胥门广场), Baihuazhou Square (百花洲广场), Guihua Exhibition Hall Square (规划展示馆广场) and Baidu Square (百度广场). The highlight of this year's Lantern Festival, a multitude of lanterns will be on display at Canglang New City (沧浪新城) and six streets in Canglang District. Additionally, visitors will be able to peruse a large variety of jade carvings, paintings, figurines, clay sculptures, blown sugar figures and paper cuttings, see a number of traditional performances (Kunqu opera, lion dances etc.) at a specially opened theatre in the area.
