The most useful bus station is the Main Bus Station, located at 427 Zhongshan Nan Road, 10 minutes walk from Guilin North Railway Station. This is the departure point for cities in Guangxi, Guangdong and Hunan provinces.
Travel time from Guilin to Liuzhou is two hours, and buses leave every 20 minutes. Frequent buses go to Nanning (4 hrs) and Guangzhou (8 hrs). Daily sleeper buses to Shenzhen (10 hrs) leave at 13:20, 15:30 and 17:40.
Coaches run to Yangshuo from 7:00-19:00 and buses depart every 15 minutes. The travel time between Guilin and Yangshuo is about 70 minutes and the ride costs 17 RMB/person (including 2 RMB premium). After 19:00, visitors must hire a car to get to Yangshuo, which can be expensive.
