Guangzhou Zoo Welcomes Miracle Panda Triplets
Aug 14, 2014 By eChinacities.com

Chimelong Safari Park welcomed three extremely rare and adorable new arrivals on July 29; panda triplets. The mother, Juxiao, which means Chrysanthemum Smile, gave birth to the trio last month and the zoo introduced them to the general public on August 12.

The three babies are thought to be the only surviving panda triplets in existence and have been hailed as ‘miracles’ by expert breeders in China.

Although they’re not out of the woods yet- infant mortality is extremely high among pandas and the cubs won’t be classified as ‘surviving’ until they reach six months- the triplets and their mother are reportedly thriving.

The genders and names of the babies, who were conceived through an artificial breeding program haven’t been revealed yet.
