Guangzhou Metro to Provide Extra Convenience

As of Jan. 1st, 2009, handicapped people will be able to make appointments of the Guangzhou metro by phone. A new passenger-friendly service will soon be added to the Guangzhou Metro Hot Line service (83289999).

As of Jan. 1st, 2009, groups of passengers, the blind and the handicapped will be able to make appointments by phone. Metro staff will then assist these people in need to the trains after they arrive at the metro station.

Additionally, kiosks for the free rental of umbrellas will be set up in every metro station from Line One to Line Four, allowing passengers to protect themselves from unexpected showers by completing a few simple procedures.
