For the convenience of metro users in Guangzhou, the metro authorities will extend the operation time of the metro by one hour from January 28 to February 1. On Chinese New Year’s Eve the times will be prolonged by one and a half hours.
Although traffic in the underground is generally expected to decrease, the decision is made with the festivals, specifically the flower festival, in mind.
