It was learned on March 16 that Baiyun District would build Guangzhou Airport Bonded Area in Zhongluotan Town and strive to expand the section of 106 National Trunk Highway within Baiyun District, which connects the former and new airport.

This bonded area included "one park and three zones", which was planned as Baiyun District Airport Hi-tech Industrial Base and covers an area of about 4.53 square kilometers.

Upon its completion, the Bonded Area will become a Customs Surveillance Zone in the Pearl River Delta region with the highest opening up level, fullest functions, the most favorable policies and the most convenient customs clearance procedures. At present, the feasibility report on the bonded area has been approved by the expert panel and the review meeting held by nine state ministries and commissions and Guangzhou Municipal Government has officially filed an application to Guangdong Provincial Government for approval.

Luo Weifeng also disclosed that Baiyun District planned to build Jiangshi Bridge. It will be located in Jianggao Town, Baiyun District, running 1.1 kilometers in total length. It will become an important bridge that spans Liuxihe River and connects Shijing Street and Jianggao Town, running north and south.
