Group of Young Foreigners Begin Training at the Shaolin Temple

A group of four young foreigners began training in the tower forest at the Songshan Shaolin Temple on December 20th. The four foreign students are 18-year-old French girl Xiaomin, 15-year-old Vietnamese boy Meilin, 22-year-old German man David, and 9-year-old Indonesian girl Yang Fenni. According to an employee at one of the training schools on Songshan Mountain, in recent years, more and more foreigners have been coming to Shaolin Temple to study martial arts. At one point, the school that the employee works for had over 200 foreigners in long-term training programs! Also, every year, an addition 1,000 foreigners visit for short-term training programs. The picture shows the 18-year-old French girl Xiaomin practicing with swords.
