The 2011 Nanning-ASEAN Economic Development Zone Gourmet Food Festival will officially kick off at Xiaomaoshan Food Square on October 14th. During the 10-day festival, visitors can binge on various delicious foreign cuisines while they watch a series of “exotic” performances—which is basically the motto of the festival: “delicious food every day and exotic performances every night”. It should be easy for visitors to find a favourite dish among the various represented countries (especially dishes from the bordering Southeast Asian countries).

In addition to the delicious dishes available to sample, the Gourmet Food Festival will also hold many other activities, such as a show performed by the champion of China’s Talent Show, a beer carnival and parade, a fruit picking event, a “shopping in an exotic environment” event, even a mini career fair for working in the Nanning-ASEAN Economic Development Zone. The fun isn’t limited to the venue of the Gourmet Festival. Gourmet tours will also take visitors on fascinating food and leisure trips around Nanning! Free shuttle buses will be available at Chaoyang Square and Jinhu Lake Square during the festival.
