On April 21st, a giant root carving 7.6 meters long, 2.6 meters wide, 3.8 meters high and 11.6 tons heavy, was unveiled at Shanxi Taiyuan Exhibition Hall. The root carving, made of golden camphor wood, is in the shape of a lion and took 12 artists three years of hard work to complete. The piece is valued at 16 million RMB.
