Giant Panda at Jinan Zoo Dies of Toxic Gas Inhalation

Giant panda Quan Quan's sudden death attracted much publicity and attention in Jinan, with residents abuzz over the possible cause of death. On July 26th, Jinan Zoo held a press conference revealing the cause of death for Quan Quan, putting the speculation to reset. According to investigations by officials and the autopsy report, it has been preliminarily determined that Quan Quan died from inhaling large amounts of toxic gas that drifted from the nearby air raid shelter into the zoo through a ventilation hole. Further police investigation is also underway.
