Peter Piek, an independent artist, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Germany, will perform at the new Castle Bar (古堡酒吧) in Nanjing on September 23. A graduate of the prestigious Leipzig Art Academy, Piek has exhibited his paintings throughout Europe, has performed as a musician in Europe and the States (including at the South by Southwest Festival in Austin and Pygmalion Music Festival in Illinois) and has co-authored three books. His music has been described as sounding similar to Neil Young or Sigur Ros, with elements of pop, rock and funk.
