Peter Piek, an independent artist, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Germany, will perform at Summer Lotus (夏沫莲花音乐餐吧) in Kunming on September 30. A graduate of the prestigious Leipzig Art Academy, Piek has exhibited his paintings throughout Europe, has performed as a musician in Europe and the US (including at the South by Southwest Festival in Austin and Pygmalion Music Festival in Illinois) and has co-authored three books. His music has been described as similar to Neil Young or Sigur Ros, with elements of pop, rock and funk.
Getting there: take bus No. 1, 1专, 2, 10, 10专, 26, 65, 69, 84, 138 to Jianshe Lu (建设路), continue walking to the intersection of Dongfeng Xi Lu and Wenlin Jie (东风西路与文林街), turn left and walk 100 m.
