On July 17, the taxi fuel surcharge for Fuzhou taxis dropped to 2 Yuan,with other taxi fees also lowered. The starting price for taxis has been reduced to 8 Yuan for the first 3 km, with the subsequent two kilometers charged 1.5 Yuan each (down from 2 Yuan) and anything over 5 km going for 2.25 Yuan (down from 3 Yuan). After August 11, the new fees should be standard in all cabs.
