Who’d have thought cover bands could get this big? French bossa nova band Nouvelle Vague are set to charm Shanghai’s Mao Livehouse on May 15.
The flamboyant group are known for their stylistic renditions of classic punk and new wave anthems, and have made noticeable covers of classic hits such as Blondie’s “Heart of Glass,” Joy Division’s “Love Will Tear Us Apart,” and The Clash’s “Guns of Brixton.” The group will also be joined by Zula, a cabaret star from the acclaimed avant-garde collective Crazy Horse Paris.
