A program called "Beijing Welcomes You - Free Park Tickets" has kicked off in Beijing.

Starting at the end of this month, people can claim the free tickets by logging onto the Beijing Tourism Bureau website and the C-trip website.

Two million free park tickets to various tourist sights in Beijing are available. The total value of the free tickets is about 134 million yuan. They are expected to bring about 5.8 billion yuan of travel spending to Beijing.

Meanwhile, in Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan Province, a policy was introduced to boost visits to local attractions. If you spend RMB one to buy a "Panda Card" you can enjoy a free visit to eleven tourist sights in the city.
