Officials have started free shuttle buses between Xidao island and Sanya city in order to meet the needs of tourists visiting the two areas. Those visitors that reserve their admission tickets to Xidao island a day ahead in advance, can use the shuttle bus services and board the bus at two different designated stations: Xiari (Summer Sun) Mall in Dadonghai, Sanya city and Golden Phoenix Hotel in Haiyue Plaza, Sanya Bay.
Schedule for free shuttle buses to Xidao Island:
Buses start from Dadonghai Xiari Mall departing at 9:30 every day; arriving at 10:00 at Golden Phoenix Hotel in Haiyue Plaza, in Sanya Bay; and then arrives at Xiaoqi Port (port where travellers make the switch to boat transport) at around 10:30.
Boats departing from the island start at 15:00 everyday and return to Xiaoqi Port at 15:30. Shuttle buses start precisely at 15:40 from Xiaoqi Port to return visitors to Golden Phoenix Hotel in Haiyue Plaza, Sanya Bay.
