Not only will the world leaders have clean skies, but they will also not have to deal with the Great Firewall and volatile VPNs. This is because the APEC Press Center will be kitted out with free and limitless internet – imagine all the possibilities, they truly are endless! Even websites that have been ‘trapped’ behind the Firewall for a while, such as Facebook, will be available to the attendees.
This is China’s first big international event during which the internet will not experience any intervention, and we are looking forward to all the Instagram posts. Rumour has it that even Google will be available, and that the recent BBC block will be lifted at the press center.
