Fourth Wave of Pollution this Autumn to Hit Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei
Nov 30, 2015 By eChinacities.com

Beijing, Tianjin, and other areas of Hebei experienced moderate to severe pollution from yesterday until Tuesday. In North China and Huanghuai, more than 10 cities will continue to experience haze accompanied by moderate to severe pollution.

This marks the fourth wave of pollution in Beijing and Tianjin since the beginning of autumn. The first three periods of pollution were from October 4 to 7, October 13 to 17, and November 9 to 15. There is relatively low humidity, so visibility is slightly better than during the last wave of pollution. However, there is a high concentration of pollutants.

The pollution is not based in Beijing like in November, but in central and southern Hebei and Tianjin. In Shijiazhuang, the highest PM2.5 reading so far has been 300 (last time it was 180), and in Tianjin is was 250 (up from 136).

Northeast China will experience cold air and snowfall, and drivers need to be careful on snowy and icy roads.
