Foreign Investors to Enjoy More Convenient Entry-Exit Policies in Shanghai
Jan 15, 2010 By eChinacities.com

Shanghai police implemented seven new entry and exit administration policies for foreign investors and talents starting on Jan. 4th. According to the new policies, foreigners who are “honorary citizens of Shanghai”, or recipients of “award of magnolia honors”, celebrities, academic or scientific research leaders can apply for 3-5 year residence permits. Before that, foreigners in Shanghai had to get their visas signed each year. Employees of an enterprise with the registered capital of more than 3 million USD and personal investment companies can also apply for long term residence permits.
