Foreign Currency Exchange Bureau to Arrive in Hainan

Hainan is one of the 13 areas around China to launch pilot foreign exchange bureaus that will allow residents to change foreign currencies and traveller’s checks into RMB and vice-versa. The maximum amount is 500 USD per day per person for foreigners to sell foreign currencies and it could be raised to 1000 USD at places such as international airports and harbours. The other pilot areas include Shanghai, Jiangsu, Shandong, Guangdong, Beijing, Heilongjiang, Zhejiang, Fujian, Guangxi, Tianjin, Yunnan and Xinjiang.
