On the morning of July 1st, a Boeing737 traveled departed from Kunming and landed in Mianyang Nanjiao Airport – the start of the new flight service between Miangyang and Kunming.
The Kunming Airlines flight runs once each way daily. The new flights were opened to accommodate tourists traveling from northwest regions of Sichuan to Yunnan, and to also bring more travelers to Jiuzhaigou and Jianmenshudao, two of the major tourist attractions in Sichuan. Kunming Airlines and Mianyang Nanjiao Airport are working together to try and attract interested travelers for the newly opened flight route.
